Throughout Catalyst, a number of our churches run schools and training courses to equip those in their community and beyond in various aspects of the Christian life. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, some of these are heading online from September…but because of that are now more open and accessible than ever for anyone else who wants to benefit! This is a fantastic time to think about how you can get equipped to go deeper in your faith – whether that’s on a year out, a weekend, day or morning a month, or entirely online! Here’s a breakdown of the fantastic courses that we run centrally to equip believers at all stages of life and faith, all of which are very much still going to be running in the future:

IMPACT

Impact Training is a year given over to learning more about God, getting a passion for the nations and having your life turned upside down. We’ll give you the opportunity to travel overseas and see how the gospel is reaching other nations, participate in the growth of a local church and equip you in sound theology and leadership skills.

Leadership & Theology Training

A two-year training course for leaders, developing your leadership skills, theology, doctrine, and character. Wherever you’re called to lead – in your church, your workplace or your community – Leadership & Theology Training is designed to help you develop your gift to become the leader you were called to be.

God’s Big Story

A new, foundational theology course coming January 2021, exploring the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Accessible for anyone, it will give a solid grounding in the whole Biblical story – exploring key themes, unpacking lesser-studied books, and providing a big-picture view of the Bible.

In addition to these, you might also want to take a look at the following courses and schools run by Catalyst churches, open to all, which focus on different areas of life, faith and ministry:

Training for Supernatural Ministry – Bedford

King’s Arms in Bedford has run a ministry school for 11 years and is going online with their TSM course from October. We believe every Christian is called to see the sick healed, the spiritually oppressed set free, the lost saved and the broken-hearted bound up, and this course helps believers to put that into action! It is focused on our identity in Christ, Gifts of the Spirit and the Kingdom of God. Sign up before 15th August for an early-bird discount and find more information at www.tsmbedford.org

School of Supernatural Life – Milton Keynes

We believe that the destiny of every Christian to walk in signs and wonders, to be intimately connected to Jesus and to carry his heart to a hurting world. At SSL our passion is to equip and inspire you to live a radically supernatural lifestyle to bring the kingdom of heaven wherever you go! The school runs from October to July with three powerful modules: your amazing identity in Jesus, your call to intimacy and connection, and an assignment of life that has total kingdom impact. From this year, you can either join face-to-face with SSL Live – if you are local to Milton Keynes – or online with SSL @ Home – new for 2020, this option opens the door to anyone further afield and to those who prefer the flexibility of a safe online community. School of Theology – Manchester

At Christ Church Manchester, we wanted to help people to grow in their knowledge of God, even if they don’t have time for full-time theological study, so we started the CCM School of Theology. This two-year course has been built to provide accessible theology training to people who have a lot going on in their work and home lives. We meet for one Saturday morning per month, from 9:00am until 12:30pm, and the optional assignments and further study are developed to fit into a busy life. The course will enable, empower and inspire you to think theologically and to study and apply Scripture in a profound and life transforming way. It is open to anyone: theology training that is simple enough to be grasped, yet deep enough to be challenging. The course is free, paid for by CCM, starts in January each year and runs over two years, with ten sessions each year. Find out more at www.christchurchmanchester.com/sot

This list will be updated with more training courses and schools as plans develop in the coming months, especially for those now offering an online element.
