We are living through challenging times but God is still speaking, leading and growing his church. We believe that, as our world is shaken, many are questioning who they are and what they believe in, people are ready to hear the good news of Jesus, what a perfect time to be planting a church!
In 2010, Chris and I were sent by Mosaic Church to plant The Oak Church, into West Leeds and East Bradford. Over the past ten years, God has established a beautiful church with a passion to love and serve the local community and the world. In 2017, God began to speak to us about his heart for the city of Bradford. At the time we were living with our four children in West Leeds, but God told us that it was time to move, so we bought a house in East Bradford and moved our children into the local schools. God gave us a picture of a huge dam that spread across the city of Bradford, almost ready to burst, when it did, it would pour out blessing across the entire region.
When the first lockdown began, God had been speaking to the leadership team at The Oak Church about multiplication and in September 2020 God spoke to Chris and I clearly again, that it was time to go. God has graciously nurtured and strengthened the Oak Church through this time and they’re ready to send us to plant a new church into Bradford in September 2021. God continues to speak about his living waters flowing through the streets of Bradford, the harvest is ripe and plentiful here and we cannot wait to see what He will do.
We would love you to pray for us:
– For a socially and racially diverse team to move to Bradford and join us as we seek to reach people from many different cultures in this beautifully diverse city.
– For the city of Bradford, for transformation, for blessing upon the churches here, for unity.
– For protection over us and our family as we stand as a light in the darkness.
– For wisdom to live as disciples who make disciples, for us to meet people of peace across the city so that the good news can spread like wildfire.
