Open to all, this training is for anyone wanting to gain a greater knowledge of God, scripture and theology. Equipping, empowering and
inspiring you to think theologically and apply God’s Word in a deeper way. Whether you are a new Christian or would like fresh stimulation to explore the scriptures, this course provides a safe and nurturing environment to stretch your thinking and faith. Taught sessions will be live streamed to Bedford, Reading and Birmingham where there will be a live host and worship team.

Details

Course Delivery:

Theology Foundations will be led by an onsite host in each of the three locations, who will provide support and input to students throughout the duration of the training. The delivery of content will be taught by the Leeds School of Theology team via live-streaming. Each day will begin with live worship and provide plenty of opportunity for discussion, debate and connection with God and one another.

 

Topics Including:

Intro to Theology and Scripture – what it is and why it matters
Healthy Hermeneutics – learning to interpret the Bible well
Old and New Testament Survey – the story and theology of the Bible
Church History – getting perspective on the past
Ecclesiology – a robust theology of the Church
Trinitarian Theology – understanding and relating to Father, Son and Spirit
Sovereignty and Freedom – how God and people interact
Kingdom and Covenant – living the Bible’s greatest themes
