Last weekend saw the launch of a new Catalyst training initiative. For many years now we have been running Impact as a “Gap Year” programme from Woodside Church Bedford, the Leadership and Theology course hosted by Andrew Wilson at New Life Church Milton Keynes, and Broadcast, an online resource for church planters run by the team at Christ Church Manchester. This new course, God’s Big Story, aims to plug the gap between our other training courses and is aimed at everyone in our Churches who wants to dig a bit deeper into their Bible.

We are running a pilot course at KCC Southampton over the next few months and, if all goes well, we will be running a second pilot course starting in September and lasting for 10 months. Last weekend David Devenish launched the course with an overview of the whole of the Bible story from Genesis to Revelation. Each day is built around 6 ½ hour teaching sessions with plenty of time for break out and discussion in groups. Other speakers on the course include Andy McCullough, Wendy Mann, Phil Moore, Andrew Wilson, Richard Tutt, Liam Thatcher, Simon Holley, Phil Wilthew and Jonathan Bell.

Already, the feedback has been tremendously positive. One attendee said: “we learnt so much and are so pleased to be able to part of this pilot. We are feeling so blessed to be able to learn more of the Bible from amazing teachers and it has reignited our own desire to read the Scriptures.”

We are planning to launch the course across a number of bases in the UK in September 2020. However, if you would like to be part of the pilot scheme running in Southampton starting in September 2019 please email admin@kccsouthampton.org to register your interest. The pilot scheme will be free of charge.
