Being effective in this world as Christians isn’t easy, especially with culture changing rapidly from generation to generation. But Jesus has called us to reach all people groups of every background and culture.

One of the emerging ways we can impact culture is through film. Last night we held a Film Festival in Hall 1 where two short films were shown.

The first film – FATUM – was an experimental and original piece which situated you in an intimate yet uncomfortable setting of a dinner date.

The second film – The Quickener – was the expertly dialogued story of a gargoyle maker during the Great Plague which featured some of the UK’s best spoken-word artists.

Between 70 to 80 people turned up last night to watch the films which were creatively inspiring for all there – hopefully we will see more original films produced by believers in the years to come!
