The Multiply Conference is for anyone involved, or looking to get involved, in site and church planting. The Multiply team are passionate about building a community of Gods people supporting each other in extending the reach of His church. The conference is one of the resources we make available to equip you in this mission. This year the event has moved online and is totally free to join! It’s taking place on Saturday 21st November, and we would love you to just us there.
I am sure no one will be surprised to hear that we have been challenged to re-think this year’s Multiply Conference. But rather than cancel, we are seeing this as an opportunity to do things a little differently – maybe a little bigger, which in-turn (we believe) will reach more people, more churches and more nations. We have therefore decided to evolve this into an online event using Zoom, on the morning of Saturday 21st November. You could say, we want to Go Big by Staying Home!
We believe this is a time to think differently. Breaking new ground by planting into a city looks very different to planting into a rural area, or into an estate with high deprivation. Planting into main-land Europe is very different to planting into a nation in French-speaking Africa. There is no such thing as one-size fits all when it comes to breaking new ground through church and site planting. Therefore, we have gathered a range of speakers and experienced practitioners who are actually doing this on the ground in a variety of contexts. All are keen to share their successes, and no-doubt their mistakes, with us all. All of these topics and more we will be covering during our time together with seminars and main sessions exploring different ways to break new ground.
We are also thrilled to have Andy McCullough bring our key-note message. Andy was born and grew up in Cyprus, is married to Jessica – who is South African – and has four children who were born in the UK but grew up in the Middle East. Currently based in Reading, he is involved in planting churches and coaching church planters, is an avid student of language, culture, mission and the Bible, and is the author of ‘Global Humility: Attitudes for Mission’. Andy has first-hand experience of seeing churches established in some of hardest to reach areas of the world. He is a great speaker and will be a tremendous encouragement to us all.
