During our Monday evening meeting, Dave Fellingham shared a powerful prophetic word about God’s call for us to be a people who truly take hold of His promise that He will redeem and restore the earth; confident in our victorious King Jesus and caught up in His great work throughout the world to see nations changed, people from every tribe and tongue reached, and lives transformed.

Yesterday morning I had a vision. I could see a devastated, bomb-hit city; buildings that are falling down, cars that are ruined, children that are crying. As I looked at this, I saw the hand of God come down, and start to put together those buildings, piece by piece, tier by tier. As that began to happen, a song of praise welled up as streets began to see healing, buildings began to be put back together, where children were filled with tears, they began to laugh and dance and shout and play. As I saw that, I felt God say to me, and challenge me to the very depths of my being…“Do you really believe I can do this?”

It reminded me of the Scripture in Isaiah 54: “Sing barren woman! You who never bore a child, burst into song, shout for joy. You who were never in labour, because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband. Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your curtains wide, do not hold back, lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes for you will spread out to the right and to the left. Your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.”

God is saying: “You have been singing “Waiting here for you”, but I say to you that I am waiting here for you! I am waiting for you to take hold of prophetic promise. I am waiting for you to take hold of what I will do in every nation of the earth. I want you to understand that all of history is going towards the divinely directed goal of the coming again of my Son! He will sum up everything, he will bring everything together, and I want you to know that you are a strategic part of that plan.”

He’s saying: “In this place, there is a hunger, there is a thirst, you are on the cusp of breakthrough, and I want to encourage you to strengthen your stakes, to remember the things that are dear to you – life in the Spirit, the miraculous, community life, worship, prayer, evangelism, grace, identity. I want you to establish those things firmly in your hearts for now is the time for breakthrough, now is the time for lengthening. But it’s not just a lengthening in order that your churches might grow and be bigger, it is a lengthening in order that nations will be changed! It’s a lengthening that the song will rise up, that as you go to every tribe, tongue and nation, so the songs of worship that you are singing will be sung with melodies that are different to your ethnic experience, with scales that are different, with instruments that are different. It will be a reflection of different cultures. I am about a great work, and I am calling you to be caught up in what I am saying.”

For those desolate cities will be restored, the Son is victorious, he reigns as the anointed king, so lift up your voice, lift up your heart, lay down your life, triumph in your King, King Jesus.

Simon Holley then led us in a powerful time praying for one another; for lengthening and strengthening, for anointing for the song to rise around across the world, and for boldness and courage to restore the damaged and broken cities. The Holy Spirit met with many as we enjoyed a wonderful time of ministry together!
